The real estate gala awards ceremony FIABCI-Georgia Prix d’ Excellence Awards 2024 took place in Batumi on 11 October. The event was supported by the Government of Adjara. The silver sponsor of the ceremony was Bank of Georgia.
The second edition of FIABCI-Georgia Prix d’ Excellence Awards attracted an unprecedented level of interest. Outstanding projects from the Georgian real estate sector were evaluated by a panel of industry experts, who selected the winners in Gold and Silver categories. The national winners will have the opportunity to present their projects at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards.
The event in Batumi was attended by special invitation by FIABCI World President, Ramon Riera, and the FIABCI President of Europe, Felice Tufano. The gala awards ceremony was opened by the chairman of the Government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze. The event was also attended by other high-profile guests from Georgia and abroad, as well as industry representatives from various countries.

Main Criteria for All Categories (Except Master Plan)
Awards Ceremony
The panel will identify the projects that will advance to the second stage in each category.
The winning projects will be announced and rewarded at the FIABCI-Georgia gala ceremony.
Categories
The following categories are intended for sustainable and resilient buildings and projects, as well as for people who demonstrate efforts to reduce the ecological footprint of the built environment.
Residential High Rise
Apartments, condominiums, etc. (17 floors or more).
Residential Mid Rise
Apartments, condominiums, etc. (6-16 floors).
Residential Low Rise
Settlements, residential complexes, etc. (5 floors or less).
Affordable Housing
A project by a private developer or a public sector organisation. The building must meet the criteria, prices and guidelines of an affordable housing development.
Hotel / Aparthotel
Leisure or business hotel or apartment that has a commercial function only.
Mixed-Use Development
A project that includes at least three main components (note: a facility with only a service or support function is not considered a main component). These components must be physically and functionally integrated with each other and connected by covered pedestrian channels. For example, a project may combine residential, commercial, office and shopping functions.
Office
Office buildings, office complexes, office parks.
Resort
A location where people spend holidays or vacations, e.g. sea resorts, mountain resorts, amusement parks, marinas, etc. A stand-alone resort largely meets the needs of the holidaymaker without the latter having to leave the premises (e.g. by providing food, accommodation, entertainment and shops).
Retail
Shopping malls, hypermarkets, etc.
Public Infrastructure
Projects financed and developed exclusively with public funds, e.g. government buildings, public hospitals, roads, bridges, airports, parks, stadiums, etc.
Master Plan
A conceptual development plan approved by a relevant agency. At least one phase of the plan (e.g. suburban development or settlement development) must be completed.
Sustainable Development
Projects, companies, people. This category is designed for eco-friendly, sustainable and resilient buildings, as well as people who protect the environment through their activities.
Energy Efficient and Green Projects
Energy efficient buildings (e.g. more natural light, retention/collection and subsequent use of rainwater, green construction certificate, etc.
Cultural Heritage
Restoration or preservation of the original appearance of old buildings identified by the relevant agency/owner. The restored building can have any purpose, depending on the wishes of its owner. A building submitted in the heritage category may also be submitted in another relevant category. For example, if a building functions as a hotel, the owner can submit it in both the heritage and hotel categories. The submission will be evaluated according to the criteria of both categories.
To submit a project, you need to fill out the online registration form and upload all the necessary documents. In the registration form, you must indicate the categories in which you wish to participate.

The best national project in each category will receive the National Gold Award

The runner-up in each category will receive the National Silver Award.
A panel of Georgian and foreign real estate experts will review the applications and compile a list of companies that will move to the second stage in each category. Candidates may be asked to submit additional information.
Selection of Winners
The jury panel will select the winning projects. Shortlisted candidates will attend the awards ceremony, where the winners will be announced.
Terms of Use of the FIABCI-Georgia Prix d’Excellence Award
Winners will be able to use the prestigious FIABCI Georgia Prix d’Excellence Awards logo in their own business materials.
Exposure of the Winners
The winners of the FIABCI Georgia Prix d’Excellence Awards will be included in the honorary lists published in the FIABCI Georgia Prix d’Excellence Awards printed edition and on the official website. Coverage will also take place in other local and international media.
The national winners will take part in the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards.
